Today is my Dad’s Birthday.
My Dad is one of the kindest people you will ever meet. He’s a funny (makes puns/jokes all the time!) Type-A kind of guy. He’s strongly motivated, but he takes time to go for a walk in the mornings. He also loves cookies. And, he’s always given the best advice and wanted the best for me and my sisters. He’s truly the best Dad a girl could ask for. (To be clear, he’s also very stylish. My sisters, my mom, and I will often ask him what he thinks of our outfits. He knows what works and what doesn’t).
Happy Birthday Dad!
(Normal outfit posting resumes tomorrow)

Love your dad – thank you for sharing him with us, and I send him a Happy Birthday, too!!! Reminds me of my late, beloved Dad, with whom it sounds like he would have gotten on famously with
My Dad, too, was stylish (in fact, when I would open presents from my parents that were clothing, I always asked who picked them out, lol – a Dad present was a good thing!), with good advice, a walker, funny*! ( he always used to say “Got to leave ‘em laughing!”), and man! did he love his cookies, cakes, donuts
* So here is a funny Dad story: Dad had hearing aids that whistled if he bent forward. But he couldn’t go without his hearing aids, because he really had some serious hearing loss – something like 25% in one ear alone ;- Anyway … he took my mother to the doctor one day. The waiting room was PACKED but people saw a woman being helped in by her husband, on a cane – some nice guy got up and gave mom his chair … well, about five, ten minutes later, the next person called is the person sitting next to Mom, so, ok, Dad sits down… Mom is reading a waiting room magazine and something goes to fall out of it, and she’s not steady enough in her equillibrium to reach down and grab it, so Dad does – and when he bends over – of course his hearing aids let out this shrill whistle! Now, there are alot of elderly people there with most likely the same type hearing aids!, so they get it – but this one woman gave Dad the stinkeye. Well, Dad didn’t hesitate – he whipped off his shoe, put it up to his ear, and said, “99 here!” from Get Smart
