30×30: Recap

In conclusion, I’d like to say… HALLELUJAH.

This was my first blogging challenge ever, but that is only one of the reasons it was unforgettable. Aside from that, during this blogging challenge I went through some major life changes. I went from living on my own to moving back in with my parents (I actually moved during 30×30, and only misplaced SOME of my items!). I went from married to filed for divorce. I began with someone else taking my pictures for me to taking all my own pictures.

And I started to step out of my comfort zone. My comfort zone is called JEANS. I typically live in them and own 4-5 pairs that are exactly the same. My early 30×30 was filled with jeans. And admittedly, I do love jeans but I’m really beginning to enjoy skirts a little bit more than I used to. I still have a couple barriers I need to break–more accessorizing would be nice, as would less cardigan love.

As for 30×30 regrets? I have several. There are a couple items I used only once (blazer, I’m looking at you), or even not at all (those ankle boots). You can view all my choices here. I probably didn’t need 7 pairs of shoes (only 5 of which I used). As for the 8 tops, I could have used more tops but I didn’t need multiple white ones. 4 cardigans was also an unnecessary expense, I could have made due with 3. I do wish I’d used my blazer more, but it’s one of those difficult items to work with.

Overall, I definitely feel like 30×30 helped me step up my creativity a little more (not as much as I would have liked, I did get a bit lazy) and allowed me to visualize new combinations with my wardrobe. I actually could make several more outfits just from this set of 30 items. However, I’m definitely excited to utilize the rest of my wardrobe.
